Poultry

We currently stock a few Light Sussex hens, black Silkies and Quails.

The Silkies and Light Sussex free range around the grounds and happily co-exist with the ducks.

Quails

We also keep Japanese quails (Coturnix Japonica).

They produce a large number of small but tasty eggs, which are sold locally in R. Wisby and V.T. Lancaster butchers. If you are localy you can buy from them or order some from us directly.

The video is of recent day old quails.

These eggs are not fertile as we do not keep male quails.

Our Silkies are quality stock from the well know breeder Mike Goodwin. We have purchased his hens regularly from specialist auctions.

If you are interested in purchasing Silkie chicks please contact us.

When they go broody we use them to hatch some of our waterfowl eggs and rear the young.
